These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Profit Guard application (“Service”) operated by Ibrahim Gul Butt, an individual sole proprietor based in Pakistan trading as “Meyaartech” (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using Profit Guard you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Profit Guard is a Shopify-embedded application that tracks cost of goods sold (COGS), computes per-order net profit and margin, and enforces merchant-defined rules at checkout (such as removing discount codes when a cart's margin falls below a configured threshold).

2. Subscription, Billing, and Trials

Profit Guard is offered on Free, Starter, Growth, and Pro plans. All paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing API on a recurring 30-day cycle. Prices and plan limits are shown inside the app and on the Shopify App Store listing.

  • You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from the in-app Settings page.
  • Refunds are handled per Shopify's billing policy.
  • Order limits apply on a rolling 30-day window. Orders beyond your plan limit are not processed for margin or rules until you upgrade.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Use the Service to evade Shopify's billing or terms of service
  • Abuse the public margin endpoint (we rate-limit requests and require HMAC-signed App Proxy delivery)
  • Use the Service to facilitate fraud or any unlawful activity

4. Your Data & Responsibilities

You retain all rights to your store, product, COGS, and order data. We process your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the COGS, payment fees, and shipping cost settings you enter. Margin calculations are only as accurate as the inputs you provide. Profit Guard is a decision-support tool — final pricing and discount decisions remain your responsibility.

5. Service Availability & Changes

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party platform outages (including Shopify and our infrastructure providers), or force majeure events may cause downtime. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, with material changes announced in the in-app Help page or via email.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Profit Guard is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Termination

You may uninstall Profit Guard at any time from your Shopify admin. On uninstall, all your data is deleted within 48 hours. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms with notice when reasonable.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in good faith; if unresolvable, the courts of Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is 1.0 (last updated 2026-05-22). Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
